BLACK PANTHER ENEMY LIES - SHORT FILM - HEROES4US

BLACK PANTHER
ENEMY LIES
 SHORT FILM
 HEROES4US

Bert Songprasit, 31, of Mays Landing, wrote and directed an 8-minute short film, which can be viewed on YouTube, about the first black superhero in mainstream American comics, the Black Panther. The character has not been portrayed on the big screen yet, and Songprasit, who also performs hip-hop under the name Corpus, thought it was time the hero got his due. Black Panther made his comic debut in 1966. His skill set includes superhuman senses, genius-level intellect and Olympic-level strength.

With a budget of only $350, Songprasit assembled a cast of 17 mostly non-actors who were willing to work for him for free. His short film features people talking until the hooded Black Panther character jumps into action at the end. The film was shot during two days in August at a marina in Absecon. Songprasit completed the movie in the spring.
"I basically made it for the fans to watch,"
